A note before the legal language. This site and my work are a space for reflection and self-inquiry. They are not therapy, medical or mental-health care, or a crisis service. Section 5 explains this in full.
Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using this site. By using the website, taking the quiz, submitting a form, purchasing or receiving any service, or submitting any content, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you (“you,” “your”) and Resonance House LLC (“Resonance House,” “we,” “us,” “our”), and together with our Privacy Policy govern your use of the website at www.shaunavanbogart.com, all content, the quiz, intuitive and reflective services including Energy Reads and private sessions, communications, and related offerings (collectively, the “Service”).
Shauna VanBogart is the founder of Resonance House LLC. Our membership app and the website at www.resonance-house.com are governed by their own terms, which are substantially the same. Programs purchased through our course platform, and memberships purchased through Resonance House, are also subject to the terms presented at checkout for those offerings.
Everything provided through the Service is for general educational, informational, and self-help purposes and for your own personal reflection and enjoyment.
Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18.
Your information. You agree to provide accurate information when you contact us, take the quiz, or purchase a service, and to keep it current.
Services and programs. Energy Reads, private sessions, the Vision Board Restyle, The Signal Program, and similar offerings may be purchased individually. Fees, delivery timelines, and any scheduling terms are presented at the time of purchase and are due in full as stated.
Payment processing. Payments are processed by our third-party checkout and payment providers (currently Podia, Stripe, and, for Resonance House memberships, Memberstack). We do not collect or store your full payment card details; those are handled by the payment processor under its own terms and security standards.
Subscriptions and auto-renewal. If you purchase a recurring membership, it automatically renews at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, and your payment method will be charged automatically, until you cancel. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the period you have already paid for.
Scheduling and rescheduling. If a service requires an appointment, the scheduling and rescheduling terms presented at booking apply. Please give as much notice as possible if you need to move a session.
Late payments (payment plans). If you are on an installment plan and a payment is more than five (5) days overdue, we may charge a late fee of ten percent (10%) of the overdue amount and suspend access until the balance is paid.
Refunds. Except where required by law, fees and completed purchases, including intuitive and one-time services once they have begun or been delivered, are non-refundable, including for partially used billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at hello@shaunavanbogart.com and we will review it in good faith.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-commercial, revocable, non-sublicensable, and non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your own personal reflection and enjoyment.
You may not, and may not permit anyone else to:
All materials that are part of the Service — including recorded readings, audio journeys and scripts, written reflections, text, images, illustrations, design, “look and feel,” software, the PARA Technique®, the Resonance House name and logo, the Shauna VanBogart name and marks, and all trademarks — are owned by or licensed to Resonance House LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Please read this section carefully.
The Service is a general-wellness, self-reflection, and intuitive-guidance offering provided for personal, educational, and informational purposes only. It is not medical care, mental-health care, psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a crisis, emergency, or suicide-prevention service.
Resonance House LLC and Shauna VanBogart are not acting as a medical provider, mental-health provider, therapist, counselor, physician, dietitian, attorney, accountant, or financial advisor, and do not hold themselves out as any of these. Energy Reads, private sessions, the quiz and its results, audio journeys, and any readings or reports are reflective and intuitive offerings for self-inquiry and personal insight. They do not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any physical, mental, or emotional condition, and they are not a substitute for professional medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Intuitive readings and reports. Intuitive services are provided for reflection, insight, and personal enjoyment only. They are based on intuitive impressions and are not statements of fact, predictions, guarantees, or professional advice of any kind. No specific outcome or accuracy is promised or guaranteed. You are solely responsible for your own choices, decisions, and actions, and you agree not to rely on any reading or reflection as a basis for medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other important decisions. Always consult a qualified professional for those matters.
The quiz. The quiz is a self-guided reflection tool. Its results are general and are not an assessment, screening, diagnosis, or professional opinion about you.
No professional relationship. Using the Service does not create a therapist-client, doctor-patient, or other professional or fiduciary relationship between you and Resonance House LLC.
In a crisis, get real help immediately. The Service cannot help you in an emergency and is not monitored for crises. If you are experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, are thinking about harming yourself or others, or are in crisis, stop using the Service and contact emergency help right away: in the US and Canada, call or text 988; or call your local emergency number (such as 911 in the US); or go to the nearest emergency room. Always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any questions about a medical or mental-health condition, and never disregard or delay seeking it because of something you experienced through the Service. The Service has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and is not a medical device.
Guided-audio note. Some offerings use relaxation, breathwork, guided imagery, or similar practices. Do not listen while driving or operating machinery, or in any situation where relaxing your attention could be unsafe. If you have a medical or psychological condition that could be affected, consult your provider before use. Effectiveness depends on the individual, and no particular result is guaranteed.
Your responsibility. You participate voluntarily and are solely responsible for your own choices, actions, and results. You assume all risks associated with your use of the Service.
If you submit content to us — for example, feedback, testimonials, photographs for an Energy Read, or messages (“User Content”) — you represent that it is truthful and that you have the right to share it, including any necessary permission from anyone named or pictured. We are not obligated to monitor User Content, and we may remove or decline to use it at any time, for any reason, without liability.
License to us. For any User Content you voluntarily submit, you grant Resonance House LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable, transferable, royalty-free, perpetual license to host, use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the Service. A photograph or other material you submit for the purpose of receiving a reading will be used to provide that reading and will not be published without your permission.
Prohibited conduct. You agree not to use the Service to post or transmit anything that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening, hateful, obscene, or invasive of another’s privacy; infringes anyone’s intellectual property; contains malware or interferes with the Service; impersonates anyone; or constitutes spam or unauthorized advertising.
Any testimonials or examples on this site reflect individual experiences and are shared for illustration only. They are not promises that you will experience the same results. Your experience depends on many personal factors, and we do not and cannot guarantee any specific result or outcome from using the Service, including from any reading, session, or program.
The Service relies on third-party providers (including, currently, Netlify for hosting and forms, Flodesk for email, Substack for essays, Podia for programs and checkout, and Stripe for payments). Your use of the Service may be subject to those providers’ terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
The Service contains links to third-party sites or resources we do not control. We do not endorse and are not responsible for them, and you access them at your own risk. A reference or link to another person, business, or resource is not an endorsement. If we ever include affiliate links or promote an aligned partner, we may receive compensation, but that does not change your price, is not an endorsement, and you remain responsible for your own judgment before acting on it.
We do not guarantee the Service will always be available or uninterrupted. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice, and we will not be liable to you for doing so. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 5, 6, and 10 through 14) will survive.
The Service is provided “as is,” “as available,” and “with all faults.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resonance House LLC and its owners, officers, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be secure, error-free, uninterrupted, or that any reading or reflection will be accurate or suitable for you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resonance House LLC and its owners, officers, employees, agents, licensors, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Resonance House LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right. We may assume the exclusive defense of any such matter, and you agree to cooperate. This Section survives termination.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice with the information required under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to our Designated Agent:

Your notice should include: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the allegedly infringing material and where it is located; your contact information; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act. We will respond to valid notices and counter-notices consistent with the DMCA, and any restoration of removed material will be at Resonance House LLC’s discretion consistent with the statute.
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Arbitration. Any dispute relating to your use of the Service or these Terms will be resolved by confidential, binding arbitration in South Carolina under the then-current rules of JAMS, except that we may seek injunctive relief in the state or federal courts of South Carolina to protect our intellectual property, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts for that purpose. The arbitrator’s award may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class-action waiver. To the fullest extent permitted by law, disputes will be handled individually; you and we waive any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action.
Time limit. Any claim must be filed within one (1) year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.
These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may assign these Terms; you may not. Nothing here creates a partnership, agency, or employment relationship. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Changes. We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version with a new effective date, and your continued use after posting means you accept the changes. Please review these Terms periodically.
Jurisdiction. The Service is directed to users in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.
