Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 20, 2026

In plain terms. I collect as little as I need to run this site, and I do not sell or rent your personal information. This site is a place to read about my work, take a quiz, and get in touch. The sections below explain everything in detail.

This Privacy Policy explains how Resonance House LLC (“Resonance House,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use our website at www.shaunavanbogart.com, our email and newsletters, our intuitive and reflective services, and any related features or communications (collectively, the “Service”).

Shauna VanBogart is the founder of Resonance House LLC, and this site is operated by Resonance House LLC. Our membership app and the website at www.resonance-house.com are covered by the Resonance House privacy policy, which is substantially the same.

By using the Service or providing information to us, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

  • Contact form submissions. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, the topics you select, and whatever you write in your message.
  • Quiz responses and email. If you take the quiz, we collect the email address you provide so we can send your result and follow-up. Your answers are used to determine your result and are associated with your email so the follow-up matches your result.
  • Newsletter and essay subscriptions. If you subscribe, we collect your email address. Subscriptions to the Substack publication are handled by Substack under its own privacy policy.
  • Intuitive service information. If you book or receive an Energy Read, intuitive reading, or oracle report, you may provide your name, contact details, photographs, and the details or questions you choose to share for that reading.
  • Communications and testimonials. If you email us, give feedback, or provide a testimonial, we collect the information you include.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service, such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring pages, general location derived from IP address, and usage data about how the Service is used.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use a limited number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Service and to understand general usage so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may limit parts of the Service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not serve interest-based ads.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your questions and inquiries, and provide the services you request;
  • deliver your quiz result and the follow-up email sequence associated with it;
  • provide intuitive readings and other services you have purchased;
  • send you newsletters, updates, and offers if you have opted in (you can opt out at any time);
  • maintain the security and integrity of the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot problems;
  • understand general, aggregated usage so we can improve the Service; and
  • comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

We share information only in these limited situations:

  • Service providers who help us run the Service. We use trusted third parties who process information on our behalf under their own terms and security standards, including: our hosting and forms provider (currently Netlify); our email marketing provider (currently Flodesk); our newsletter platform (currently Substack); our course and checkout platform (currently Podia); and our payment providers (currently Stripe, and Memberstack for Resonance House memberships). These providers may only use the information as needed to perform their services for us.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a lawful government request.
  • Business transfer. If Resonance House is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
  • With your direction or consent. We share information when you ask us to or otherwise consent.

We may share aggregated or de-identified information, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you, for any lawful purpose.

4. Payment Processing

Payments for services and programs are processed by our third-party payment and checkout providers (currently Stripe, Podia, and Memberstack). When you make a payment, your card details are collected and processed directly by the payment processor under its own privacy policy and security standards, including PCI-DSS. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

5. Your Choices and Rights

Email and marketing. By subscribing or providing your email, you may receive our newsletter and updates. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by emailing us at hello@shaunavanbogart.com. We may still send you non-marketing messages about a service you requested.

Your privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request that we correct or delete it, to opt out of certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, email us at hello@shaunavanbogart.com. We will verify your request and respond as required by applicable law.

California residents. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not process it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may exercise the access, deletion, and correction rights described above by contacting us. California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code § 1798.83) permits California residents to request information about disclosures to third parties for direct marketing purposes; because we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing, we have nothing to disclose, but you may contact us with any such request.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no common industry standard for responding to them, we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We do not track you across other companies’ websites for advertising in any event.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.

7. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, and our service providers maintain their own security standards. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at hello@shaunavanbogart.com.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service contains links to third-party websites, tools, and social media, including Resonance House, Substack, Podia, LinkedIn, and Instagram. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. When you follow a link or use a third-party feature, that third party’s privacy policy governs. We encourage you to review it.

10. International Users

Resonance House LLC is based in the United States, and our servers and service providers are located in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer and processing.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version here with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after we post changes means you accept them. Please review this Privacy Policy periodically.

12. Contacting Us
